bio + statement
Zeroscena is a multidisciplinary collective formed by Elisa La Boria (Latisana, 1998) and Luka Bagnoli (Rimini, 1998), working across photography, audiovisual media, and participatory art. Both hold a Master’s Degree in Visual Arts from IUAV University of Venice, where they now serve as teaching collaborators, and are currently in residence residence at the ateliers of the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia and Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa.
The group’s research focuses on bounded environments, treated as case studies and, more precisely, as scenes in their own right, portions of space and time within which action can be observed and repeated. Spaces of confinement, domestic settings, and sites of representation become devices for examining relationships and contradictions. The collective’s practice centers on reworking and reinterpreting pre-existing materials, drawing on archives understood both as catalogs of images, photographic or audiovisual, and as sets of components belonging to objects and systems, the gears of a factory, or the rules of a game. In recent years, their work has concentrated on the social dynamics of cohabitation within natural and artificial environments, both within human societies and in the relationship between humans and the biosphere.
