Breaking Light è un tributo all’immagine proiettata. In questo itinerario attraverso tre stanze digitali l’esperienza cinematografica si espande: è un trionfo audiovisivo. Le immagini conquistano le pareti delle stanze, abbattendole, disgregando la materia e modificando radicalmente la nostra percezione dello spazio fisico. Anche l’audio, campionato per questo video in contesti quotidiani, contribuisce a trasportare lo spettatore in una dimensione altra.
Breaking Light è un percorso simbolico che analizza le nuove tecnologie dell’arte (come stanze immersive e videomapping) per parlare del mondo contemporaneo, permeato di schermi e immagini fortemente influenzate dall’esperienza cinematografica. La luce, in quanto elemento che definisce il mondo visibile all’occhio umano, diventa una metafora della conoscenza e della capacità che ha quest’ultima di abbattere i confini.

Breaking Light is a tribute to the projected image. The cinematic and immersive experience is the file rouge of an itinerary through three digital rooms: it is an audio-visual triumph. The room walls host digital images and projections that create a perspective break-through effect, radically changing the perception of the physical space. In addition, the soundtrack, recorded for this video during every day-life contexts, contributes to bring the viewer into another dimension.
Breaking light is a symbolic narration about new art technologies (like immersive rooms and videomapping) and how they change the way humanity experience the space and the world they live in, a world full of screens that is strong influenced by cinematic experience. Light, being the element that defines the world portion that human eye can see, becomes a metaphor of knowledge: a force that can break borders.

- Winner of the open call Ten Little Indians 2020, promoted by Museo Laboratorio d’Arte Contemporanea (La Sapienza University, Rome) and KH Lab, an art critic laboratory based in Rome.
- Exhibited at IULM University in Milan during the exhibition Border Walls (2021).
